Royal Naval Dockyard
BWD relocated to the Royal Naval Dockyard in the early months of 2023, and has made a home for itself at King's Wharf on the North Arm. Bookings are taken through our agents at Island Tour Centre, where you can also book experiences such as sunset cruises, jet ski and kayak tours.
Dockyard is a must visit for tourists and locals alike, with its rich history as the principle naval base for the Royal Navy in the Western Atlantic. In use from 1795 to 1995 (after the decommissioning of the HMS Malabar) , Dockyard has transformed into a bustling port in the summer season. Commercial and recreational vessels alike stop by for its historical maritime atmosphere.
Dockyard is the home to many fantastic establishments. Here are some of our favourites:
Calico Jack's Floating Bar - A former public ferry and the sister ship to one of our favorite shipwrecks has since become a pirate themed floating bar at King's Wharf. The crew's favorite watering hole after a long day in the sun.
Fun Golf- The best mini golf in the world! Every six holes leads back to the bar as this course takes inspiration from real golf courses in Bermuda and around the world. Some know it as the happiest place on earth!
The Frog and Onion- A Bermuda classic. The Frog and Onion is housed in the mid-18th century Cooperage and has been serving delicious pub grub since 1992.
Dockyard has a little something for everyone, whether it's shopping at the Clocktower Mall or learning something new at the National Museum. Be sure take some time to look around!
